Michael McCormack is an ordained Minister of Word &
Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Michael received a B.A.
at Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tennessee where he got his first
tastes of ministry: as a youth advisor in Rogersville and then as a camp
counselor at the John Knox Center outside Knoxville. He attended
Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary where he received a Master
of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees. “As I consider my journey
of faith so far, there were many times I thought of was doing something.
‘I’m all about this. I’m doing that!’ Now with the hindsight that
reflection allows, I can see what God was doing, the lessons I was
really learning. I am humbled and filled with gratitude.” Michael
has served as a youth pastor in Bowling Green, Kentucky and currently
pastors First Church in Kirksville, Missouri. He is a Doctor of
Ministry candidate at Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City where
his thesis will encircle the topics of Eucharist and feeding the
hungry. He is married to Elizabeth West McCormack, a Licensed Marriage
and Family Therapist, and has two wonderful boys, Noah and Liam.
Michael has been in Spiritual Direction for over three years.
